Communications Director

Rebecca joined the CMTA team in February 2025 as Communications Director. She’s a creative communications professional with a resume spanning editorial, public relations, broadcast journalism, and marketing in the San Diego, New York City and Sacramento areas. Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism and public relations from Point Loma Nazarene University.

Prior to joining CMTA, she worked in the broadcast sphere at Sacramento’s ABC station, expanding local marketing efforts and community engagement. Rebecca handled outreach efforts for station-wide fundraising campaigns to benefit local nonprofits addressing food insecurity and youth development. Before that, she spent two years leading social media strategy and content creation at the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce, where she organically grew their social audience by thousands. While there, she worked on external communications and creative marketing for large-scale events, public policy, and inclusive economic development efforts.

In her role at CMTA, Rebecca coordinates the association’s annual events and helps drives impactful digital communications, media engagement, and public relationsensuring that CMTA’s message is heard loud and clear across California and beyond.

Outside the office, you’ll find Rebecca painting new projects, hosting gatherings for her friends, and trying new local restaurants.
