The Coolest Thing Made in California Celebration (previously known as the MakingCA Conference) is an annual event that honors the state's most innovative and remarkable manufactured products. This event showcases the diversity and ingenuity of California's manufacturing sector. The 2025 celebration will be held at The Citizen Hotel in Sacramento on Wednesday, October 22 during Manufacturing Month. The event will feature several speakers and a showcase of the Coolest Things Made in California, culminating in an awards ceremony to announce the winner of the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in California. CMTA’s Annual Membership Meeting & Board Meeting is held each year to gather CMTA members to reflect, network, and take a look at the year ahead. In 2026, the event will be held at the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs on March 25-26, 2026.
