Sacramento, Calif. – The California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA) welcomed Trener Robotics as its newest member today, adding a company at the forefront of physical AI for industrial automation to its statewide network.
With headquarters in San Jose, CA and Trondheim, Norway, Trener Robotics is building the intelligence layer for industrial robots, moving beyond rigid programming and enabling machines to learn while operating reliably on the factory floor. By creating more adaptive control of industrial robotics, the company is helping manufacturers modernize production and respond efficiently to operational demands.
“Trener Robotics represents a new generation of manufacturing technology companies that are focused on making automation more practical for real-world operations,” said Lance Hastings, President & CEO of CMTA. “I am glad to have them engaged in CMTA’s work, as their perspective will be valuable for our members navigating how AI fits into their facilities and workforce.”

“We’re excited to join the California Manufacturers & Technology Association and support its long-standing work to advance California’s manufacturing and technology ecosystem,” said John Marioni, Director or Sales at Trener Robotics. “At Trener Robotics, we are committed to helping manufacturers modernize robotics production with AI-powered software that unlocks new levels of productivity, flexibility, and intelligent autonomy.”
With the addition of Trener Robotics, CMTA continues to bring together manufacturers and technology leaders who are shaping how products are made in California. The company will participate in CMTA’s discussions around AI and automation as industry-wide modernization continues to evolve.
