Vice President of Communications

Nina Fisher is the Vice President of Communications at the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA), where she leads the association’s media, messaging, and strategic communications efforts to advance policies that strengthen California’s manufacturing economy. She joined the team in September 2025.

Prior to joining CMTA, Nina served as Communications Director for Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones, where she managed media strategy, press operations, and issue campaigns in the California State Capitol. She began her career in public service through the prestigious California Senate Fellows Program before taking on roles as a Legislative and Communications Aide.

In addition to her work in the Capitol, Nina has run her own communications consulting business, where she specialized in digital advertising, graphic design, direct mail, websites, and email campaigns for political and advocacy clients.

Nina holds a bachelor’s degree in English and political science from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Southern California.

She lives in Sacramento with her husband. In her free time, Nina enjoys staying active through the gym, hiking, and skiing, as well as traveling and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
