Policy Director

Lawrence Gayden is a policy director for the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA) and has been with the association since 2019.

Lawrence works alongside the Government Relations team covering economic development, labor and employment, education, and pharmaceutical policy issues. He also serves on the board of the California EDGE Coalition, helping advance state policy and investments that create and sustain pathways to good jobs for all Californians.

Lawrence received his Bachelor of Arts in English at California State University, Sacramento. Before landing at CMTA, Lawrence started his career at the Sacramento-based lobbying firm Political Solutions, focusing on business and labor issues.

A native of Oakland, CA, Lawrence enjoys watching basketball and enjoying the best of Sacramento’s culinary scene.
