Communications Director

Greta Serrin is the communications director for the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA).

Greta’s passion lies in the storytelling behind California’s makers and in showcasing the world’s most innovative companies in the Golden State. She spent years in the journalism industry, previously serving as a digital producer for the #1 television station in Sacramento, KCRA 3 News. Prior to that, she served as a newscast producer for Sacramento’s FOX40 News and Missouri’s NBC affiliate KOMU 8 News.

Greta’s work at KOMU 8 helped the digital team win an Edward R. Murrow Multimedia Small Market Television award for the region in 2019.

Greta graduated from one of the leading universities in journalism, the University of Missouri – Columbia, with a bachelor’s degree in Convergence Emerging Media. During her undergrad, she dipped her hands in several newsrooms, including NPR affiliate KBIA-FM and Missouri’s Politifact.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Public Relations Society of America’s California Capitol Chapter. In her spare time, she enjoys baking sourdough bread, cuddling with her cats, Boba and Sherbert, and exploring the beauty of Northern California.
