What is Generative AI?
Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence used to create new content based on models trained on text, visual, and audio data in response to prompts. As a manufacturing analogy, the impact can be thought of akin to the move from artisanal production to industrial automation.
What is Industrial AI?
Manufacturers need Industrial AI to stay competitive. Industrial artificial intelligence, or industrial AI, is the application of AI to industrial use cases like the movement and storage of goods, supply chain management, advanced analytics, and automation and robotics in manufacturing.
Utilizing AI
You can use AI in a multitude of manufacturing situations.
- Workforce
- Operators, technicians, managers
- Operations
- Manufacturing, supply chain, fleet
- Assets
- Equipment, tools, materials
Dr. Chetan Gupta walked webinar participants through several sample manufacturing use cases on specific examples in maintenance, operations, quality, and supply chain management.
Dr. Chetan Gupta said that different solutions require motors of different form factors. Similarly, AI solutions will be of different form factors. He says that even with AI, a trained workforce is critical for enabling organizational change.
