CMTA Announces New Members Spotlighting an Evolution in Construction, Education, and Transportation
Sacramento, CA – The California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA) today announced three new members: EnergySource Minerals, Mark III Construction, and Voxy.
“The essence of the manufacturing industry is active transformation,” said Lance Hastings, President and CEO of CMTA. “When we talk about manufacturing, we speak in the present tense: an ever-present notion of creation, a constant sense of improving upon as we embolden our makers and doers to push us forward and evolve from what is to what can be. The three companies we now welcome as CMTA’s newest members embody that spirit of unending exploration and betterment.”
In California’s Imperial County, EnergySource Minerals leads the state’s transition to clean energy through its revolutionary ability to extract lithium in a more environmentally sustainable way. Lithium, which is a key component in the rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for electric cars, solar panels and other green technologies, also represents a major source for local jobs and tax dollars.
“It’s a rare thing in a burgeoning industry when you can embrace a true win-win-win scenario,” said Eric Spomer, CEO, EnergySource Minerals. “At EnergySource, we are thrilled to have developed the most sustainable technology to supply lithium to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles while providing meaningful jobs and employment opportunities to the local region. We look forward to having CMTA on this exciting journey with us and appreciate their collaboration and support.”
Headquartered in Sacramento with an additional office in Fresno, Mark III Construction delivers projects across California. After nearly 50 years in business, the company continues to be family-owned as it transforms from a construction-based company to a manufacturing-based company.
“Named ‘Best Place to Work’ by the Sacramento Business Journal six consecutive years, we continue to live our company’s mission, leading the evolution of construction, and work towards our vision, expose the world to a new way to build,” said Dan Carlton, President at Mark III Construction. “We are proud to join an association that fights for every manufacturer’s right to explore and exceed expectations right here in California.”
According to the World Economic Forum, as a direct result of rapid technological advancement and post-pandemic shifts, 50% of all employees will need to be reskilled by 2025. In order for organizations to stay competitive in today’s market and prepare their workforce for the future, they need to invest in impactful training initiatives. With its AI-driven platform, Voxy, an innovative English training solution, has been used successfully by hundreds of clients to successfully break down language learning barriers and create internal career pathways for high potential talent to excel.
“In the US, there is a huge population of high-potential talent that is lacking access to career advancement as a direct result of low English proficiency, whether that be the communication skills they need to successfully collaborate with their peers, or a lack of confidence that prevents them from showcasing their abilities,” says André Almeida, VP of Enterprise Sales & Market Development. “Voxy’s accessible, mobile program is designed to meet the needs of this population, and help new Americans develop the skills they need to thrive in their careers, and in turn, generate positive business results for their companies. Organizations don’t have to bear the cost of this alone; there are grants available in states, including California, dedicated to supporting these initiatives.”
CMTA represents more than 400 businesses from California’s entire manufacturing community – an economic sector that generates more than $300 billion every year and employs more than 1.3 million Californians. If you would like to join CMTA, please email our Director of Member Engagement & Business Development, Sarah Johnson.
