Dean Talley is currently a Policy Director for the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA). He covers issues on energy, aerospace, education, and environmental policy.
Dean joined CMTA in April of 2021 after previously working in the California State Legislature as a Legislative Aide, Senate Fellow, and Sac Semester Intern, where he worked on fire prevention, mental health, water, and budget measures.
Dean graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a degree in Organizational Communication after working as a Firefighter/EMT.
Dean has a passion for traveling. In 2011, he spent a year in New Zealand playing rugby and touring the country. Being raised by a family of veterinarians, Dean has an appreciation for wildlife, hiking in the great outdoors, and working on his family’s ranch.
