Manufacturing leader on state's proposed climate change goals:
"We need more information and accountability"

Aug. 25, 2015 Sacramento, CA -- California Manufacturers & Technology Association President Dorothy Rothrock commented today on two far reaching climate change bills -- SB 350 and SB 32 -- moving through the state legislature:

"CMTA agrees that California should address climate change but it is important that we do it wisely with a full understanding of the consequences on jobs and the economy. SB 350 and SB 32 irresponsibly give an unelected government agency 'blank check authority' to create regulations that impose significant new costs on California manufacturers and workers. Legislators must demand more information, accountability, and control of any new climate change efforts than these bills currently allow."
