Vice President – Member Engagement
Job Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: President & CEO
Location: Sacramento, CA
Basic Function: Advance existing membership development strategies and identify future opportunities to expand and enhance member engagement.
Responsibilities: Below is a general outline of the role’s responsibilities.
Membership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive membership marketing, acquisition, onboarding, and retention plan to meet annual membership recruitment and retention goals.
- Target new areas for membership growth, develop prospect lists and recruit new members.
- Provide effective customer service to current and prospective CMTA members and related parties including, but not limited to, prompt and professional responses, as well as in-person meetings when appropriate, to ensure their experience with the CMTA is exceptional.
- Research, recommend and implement new member benefits, promotional programs, and services that enhance the value of members.
Sponsorship
- Identify and recommend sponsorship opportunities that focus on non-dues revenue.
- Develop and acquire sponsorships for CMTA events and activities.
- Recommend and assist with events and activities to provide increased member interaction and networking opportunities for CMTA members and industry stakeholders.
General
- Prepare and submit written and oral reports as required for the Board of Directors and other CMTA Committees.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the President.

- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
- Excellent verbal and written skills with great attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in CRM or database management
- Driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
Previous Experience
- Relevant to position, 2-3 years (required)
Compensation
- Range: $90,000 – $100,000, based on experience
