CMTA Welcomes New Environmental Lobbyist

Sacramento, CA -- The California Manufacturers & Technology Association welcomes Mike Rogge to its Government Relations team where he will lobby on environmental quality issues.

Rogge will fill the vacancy left by the association’s former environmental lobbyist, Jeff Sickenger who moved on to work for Kahl/Pownall Companies in Sacramento.
"Mike Rogge's tremendous expertise in environmental policy, manufacturing processes and government affairs will be a tremendous asset to our Association" said Dorothy Rothrock, CMTA Vice President.

For seven years he was vice president of environmental and government affairs for the Newark Group (one of the largest manufacturers of 100% recycled paperboard in the country) where he developed programs on EPCRA, storm water, spill prevention, waste oil, hazardous waste and general regulatory compliance and remediation for the corporation's 61 facilities.

Rogge has advocated company positions with federal, state and local officials and monitored new regulatory issues. He has banked air emission reduction credits and was involved in Phase I & II’s, wastewater treatment, NPDES permits, boiler testing, CEMS, air emissions abatement and landfill regulations nationwide.

Rogge graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Washington.
