ADVISORY: Reach the Stars at the 2008 CTE SummitJan. 3, 2008 SACRAMENTO, CA — An exciting program including NASA’s Constellation Program and the “Orion” crew exploration vehicle, nationally recognized education reformers, student exhibits showcasing robotics, construction and other career skills, will launch the first annual “Reaching the Stars” Career Technical Education Summit on January 15, 2008 at the Sacramento Convention Center. The Summit is sponsored by GetREAL, a coalition of business, education and labor leaders, and the day’s lineup will address ways to revitalize career technical education throughout California’s public schools. ![]() Highlighting the event will be a NASA exhibit, showcasing the Constellation Program's Orion crew exploration vehicle model — the new spacecraft designed for flights to the Moon and eventually to support missions to Mars. The NASA panel will discuss the urgent need for technicians and other skilled workers throughout aerospace and other cutting-edge industries.
