Manufacturers praise Fiorina's job creation acumen in first debate
Sept. 2, 2010 California Manufacturers & Technology Association president, Jack M. Stewart, issued the following statement on the senatorial debate between Carly Fiorina and Barbara Boxer:
"Tonight’s debate between Carly Fiorina and Barbara Boxer gave California voters a clear understanding about how each candidate will address job creation and economic growth.
Carly Fiorina confirmed that, as a U.S. Senator, she will be a fighter on the side of our nation’s job creators. She proved she knows what it takes to run a successful company in the United States. Her real world experience will translate into real results for California’s workers, small businesses and economy.
Barbara Boxer claimed to be fighting for job creation and stood by her 18-year record in Washington, D.C. During tonight’s debate a spotlight was shined on Boxer’s record of supporting higher taxes and burdensome regulations that make it more expensive and more complicated to run a successful business here in California."
