Statement of Support for California manufacturing
"Everything Grows with Manufacturing"
The country is languishing in a prolonged recession with high unemployment and a stagnant economy. Many states are taking up the challenge to spur investment and job growth to enhance the quality of life for their citizens and to fully fund crucial public services. We challenge Governor Brown and state legislators to restore California's leadership as the engine of growth for the national economy.
The California Manufacturers & Technology Association and co-hosting organizations representing a diversity of views convened a Manufacturing Summit on June 29, 2011. We support their efforts to highlight the important role manufacturing will play in California's future and to find common ground to implement an economic development plan to ensure a robust California economy in the decades to come.
